Nutritional evaluation of senior: a bibliographical study

Resumo: The aim of this study was to research about the senior’s nutritional evaluation using bibliographical rising in the base of the bibliographical data LILACS. 24 references were found, being 11 scientific articles: 5 bibliographical and 6 of prevalence. Of the investigated material, 9 were accomplished in the Brazilian Southeast. As for the nutritional evaluation it was verified that the seniors have presented larger overweight prevalence and obesity, most of them were of women. It was noticed the need of reinforcement of public policies which may favor monitoring of senior’ nutritional state and the access to the preventive information having in mind the improvement of his/her life quality.
