Resumo: | This research aimed to develop a proposal of care for families of children with chronic kidney disease considering difficulties they face at home using as theoretical referential the Basic Human Needs and the International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP®) to describe the diagnoses and nursing interventions. It is a descriptive study with qualitative approach performed at a teaching hospital and at a Private Hospital, both in the city of Joao Pessoa. The subjects were parents of children / adolescents with a history of chronic kidney disease for over a year. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interview. In the analysis of the material were identified the following diagnoses: increased anxiety; low acceptance of health status, knowledge about the disease and decreased treatment, no adherence to treatment of the child and impaired familiar routine. It is expected that the proposed care developed in this research will provide parents with better understanding of the disease and promotion of continuity of home care. |
