Resumo: Objective: to estimate the adherence to hepatitis B vaccine in homeless people. Methods: a cross-sectional study with 90 homeless people, with the collection of 5 ml of blood for the detection of antibody against the surface antigen of the hepatitis B virus. Results: of the total, 89 (98.9%) were vaccinated with the first dose; of these, 45 (50.7%) had antibodies against hepatitis B virus surface antigen lower than 10 IU/L; 25 (53.3%) received the second dose of hepatitis B vaccine, and nine (45.8%) participants received the third dose of vaccine. Individuals who were related to both genders were more likely to adhere to the full hepatitis B vaccine schedule. Conclusion: the low adherence to hepatitis B vaccination and the small number of participants with antibodies that confer immunity against this infection were evidenced.

Universidade Federal do Ceará2021-04-19info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfapplication/pdfhttp://periodicos.ufc.br/rene/article/view/6069010.15253/2175-6783.20212260690Rev Rene; Vol 22 (2021): Rev Rene; e60690Rev Rene; v. 22 (2021): Rev Rene; e606902175-67831517-3852reponame:Rev Rene (Online)instname:Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC)instacron:UFCporenghttp://periodicos.ufc.br/rene/article/view/60690/196698http://periodicos.ufc.br/rene/article/view/60690/196699Copyright (c) 2021 Rev Renehttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessOliveira, Vanessa Moura Carvalho deGalvão, Marli Teresinha GimenizNunes, Rômulo VelosoCarvalho, Matheus Sousa MarquesGomes, Cecília Natielly da SilvaMagalhães, Rosilane de Lima Brito2021-05-03T15:34:48Zoai:periodicos.ufc:article/60690Revistahttp://periodicos.ufc.br/renePUBhttp://periodicos.ufc.br/rene/oairene@ufc.br||2175-67831517-3852opendoar:2021-05-03T15:34:48Rev Rene (Online) - Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC)false
