Resumo: The article presents the phenomenological explanation of the affective dimension of the human person and its relationship with values, in the thought of Edith Stein. What distinguishes the approach to this theme according to the author is precisely the orientation toward the explanation of the human person: the different types of affective experiences, according to their origin in different strata of the soul, constitute the person, who makes herself known by her openness to the values that in the experiences of feelings are apprehended.
