Resumo: The meaning of word used by Martin Buber is not meant to represent or name things, but to found man’s existence. This word-foundation doesn’t refer to the greek logos, but it is bond to the long biblical tradition of Judaism. Buber goes a different path than traditional philosophies of the subject, making explicit his theological anthropology in innovators philosophical concepts. Rather than postulate as primordial relation the subject able to know and the known object, he describes the inter-human relationship as the source and foundation of human existence.

Essa palavra-fundamento não remete ao logos grego, mas está vincada à longa tradição bíblica do judaísmo. Buber percorre um caminho diferente daquele tradicional das filosofias do sujeito, explicitando a sua antropologia teológica em conceitos filosóficos e inovadores.
