Resumo: This work search for rebuilding of Kant’s knowledge theory foundations that make possible to talk legitimately about the noumenon concept. It is sustained that the noumenon is a concept that arise naturally from the starting points assumed by the transcendental philosophy (distinction of the knowledge faculty, the sensibility and the understanding) and not an element joined to the system. Besides, it is sought, on one side, to explain several characterizations presented in the transcendental analytic about the distinction between noumenon and phenomenon starting from the distinction between the field and domain of the categories and, for other, it is defended that it is not related to a ontological distinction between two types of objects, but of two perspectives of thinking the object relationship with our knowledge faculty.
