Resumo: The article aims to promote reflection on the use of new qualitative methodologies in migration studies. Particularly, the everyday struggle for housing of migrants who experience constituted relations and constituents of the frontier as a whole mediates between the rural and the urban, the countryside and the city, understood as a living grammar of conflicts, a set of varied and contradictory forms of engaged in the appropriation of resources, knowledge, resources and institutions. Through the production and analysis of oral narratives - of memories - based on oral history, the mutirões as a specific cut of the daily life of struggles for housing of immigrants / occupation occupants Caveirinha Farm (1970-1989): Goiânia-GO, are analyzed and understood - at the end - as practices par excellence instituted and instituting this place of frontiers.
