Resumo: In this article I walk among the relationships that make up the fi elds of anthropology, arts and metropolis in the glocal contact. I present a brief incursion into the key concepts that characterize the communicational metropolis: a performative city, an ubiquitous city and the exterminated metropolises. In these writings emerge, then, a kind of “ubiquitous ethnography” based on syncretic and polyphonic tensions that perform between fl oating identities, visual fetishes and digital cultures. Thus, the communication division of labor between the narrator and who is narrated – between self and hetero-representation – penetrates the emerging contradiction between the production of digital technologies and the use of this same technologies for ubiquitous subjects with autonomous worldviews.
