Resumo: This research aims to qualitatively describe the discursive constructions that took place in the middle of the narrative disputes in the 2018 electoral process by the Mato Grosso do Sul state government. The resources used in this work, as well as the bibliography, are focused on conducting an online ethnography. The main focus of the discussion will be based on the campaigns of two specific parties and their candidates: Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB), Reinaldo Azambuja; and also the second place, Judge Odilon, candidate of the Democratic Labor Party (PDT). Finally, the fieldwork focused on evaluating the virtual arena of dispute for space and political hegemony and the dispute for legitimacy and appropriation of key concepts necessary to adapt the rising conservatism of customs and typical banners of the parties to which the candidates were affiliated at the time of the contest.
