Livros paradidáticos e o ensino de botânica: a proposta do “Menino do dedo verde”

Resumo: The inability to observe the plants in everyday life or recognize its importance discourages the teaching of Botany, promoting the lack of motivation of the students. In addition, the Botany is discussed in the traditional way and out of context by the teachers making the teaching-learning process. However, for learning to occur, it is necessary for the teacher to develop activities to link the content studied with the reality of the student and let him build the knowledge itself. Storybooks could be used as a teaching resource because, besides being playful and attract students, the book allows for discussion and the theme of association with the everyday life of the student. The book Tistou: The boy with the green thumbs tells the story of a boy who has the knack of making plants was born where he plays. Written in 1957, period of conflict and environmental problems, the book back on the social problems and the awareness of the need to conserve the environment. Therefore, this book can be used as a starting point for an interdisciplinary approach of Botany and of cross-cutting themes proposed by the National curricular parameters. This work presents a pedagogical proposal based on pedagogy of projects, using the book Tistou: The boy with the green thumbs as a starting point, in order to contextualise the topic and overcoming difficulties of the students in the study of Botany. The pedagogy of design was the strategy to address the book since it allows the contextualization proposed theme and motivates student participation, instigating their creativity and criticality. This teaching proposal was drafted to assist the professor in teaching Botany, suggesting activities that were planned with the objective of understanding the importance of plants to the environment and to the men. The activities were based on the discussion of the book and include proposals for practical activities such as visitation and the creation of green spaces in the school. To teach Botany and required That the teacher leave the comfort of traditional classes and dare to use new teaching methods. With creativity and disposition, the teacher can plan activities to encourage the participation of the student and allow the effective learning.

Além disso, a Botânica é abordada de maneira tradicional e descontextualizada pelos professores dificultando o processo de ensino-aprendizagem. No entanto, para que ocorra a aprendizagem, é necessário que o professor desenvolva atividades vincule o conteúdo estudado com a realidade do aluno e permita que ele construa o próprio conhecimento. Os livros paradidáticos poderiam ser utilizados como um recurso didático porque, além de ser lúdico e atrair o aluno, o livro permite a discussão e a associação do tema com o cotidiano do aluno. O livro O Menino do Dedo Verde narra a história de um menino que tem o dom de fazer as plantas nascer onde toca. Escrito em 1957, período de conflito e problemas ambientais, o livro trás questionamentos sobre os problemas sociais e busca a conscientização sobre a necessidade de conservar o meio ambiente. Portanto, este livro poder ser utilizado como ponto de partida para uma abordagem interdisciplinar da Botânica e dos temas transversais propostos pelos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais. Este trabalho apresenta uma proposta pedagógica pautada em pedagogia de projetos, utilizando o livro O Menino do Dedo Verde como ponto de partida, visando a contextualização do tema e a superação das dificuldades dos estudantes no estudo da botânica. A pedagogia de projeto foi a estratégia escolhida para abordar o livro visto que permite a contextualização do tema proposto e motiva a participação do aluno, instigando sua criatividade e criticidade. Esta proposta de ensino foi elaborada para auxiliar o professor no ensino de botânica, sugerindo atividades que foram planejadas objetivando a compreensão da importância das plantas para o meio ambiente e para os homens. As atividades foram baseadas na discussão do livro e incluem propostas de atividades práticas, como a visitação e a criação de espaços verdes na escola. Para ensinar Botânica, é necessário que o professor saia da comodidade das aulas tradicionais e ouse utilizar novos métodos de ensino.
