Lean design: análise das publicações científicas

This study aims to achieve a bibliometric research by an initial survey of scientific articles about Lean Design, a concept linked to Design Management. This work is important because the knowledge of scientific production helps promote new studies. As a research methodology, was performed a survey of papers, which must have in their title, abstract or keywords, at least one of the chosen expressions considered appropriate to frame Lean Design in an appropriate manner. The search considered the last editions of the following conferences and periodicals: ENTAC, IGLC, CIBW78, Lean Construction Journal, Revista Ambiente Construído, Journal of Industrial Engineering, Journal of Construction Engineering and Management, Revista Produção and Revista Ingeniería de Construcción. During this work, was found twenty three papers about Lean Design, where were analyzed authors, institutions, number of publications by author, number of articles per entity, the author's academic degrees and the ten works more cited in references. As results, was observed that research in this area is still incipient, concentrated in few researchers and universities, highlighting the importance of expanding research in this field.
