Fortaleza is known nationally and internationally for its beauties, for the tropical climate and for its typical Northeastern cuisine rich in flavors, diverse in nuclei and regional products. Despite a good part of the food in the city, despite the large amount of food in the city, a good part of the food in the big city, a good part of the food in the big city, a good part of the food in the city, the great quality of the daily food. Based on information, this work aims to evaluate the impact and importance of vegetable gardens as an urban practice in the city of Fortaleza, as an aid in feeding the population of Fortaleza. For this, specific objectives on AGRICULTURE were considered, its main characteristics, the importance of the practice in Brazil and in the world and some projects that are already being sent in the municipality with their results. A visit was also carried out through an interview, information about a vegetable garden located in the neighborhood of Barra do Ceará was described. With the tools of several major cities, one can come to the conclusion that several gardens can be made in places. The results with the gardens provide better food quality and availability of food with access to fruits and vegetables, social inclusion with the work of several people helping in the different stages of production, income generation for the families involved. Improvements were also observed in the quality of the city, making its inhabitants well-being, transforming idle spaces and providing utility. In addition to promoting sustainability, developing knowledge will enable more people to carry out forms of cultivation in places where they can put into practice what has been proposed.
