Resumo: | Estimates of flow in watersheds based on rainfall data are extremely important for activities related to water resources management. Thus, it can be seen that there is a need for greater data collection, and that this is one of the biggest limitations to the use of more complex models, since these models are still not widespread in the northeastern semi-arid region. Thus, the objective of this work is to analyze the accuracy of the Soil Moisture Account (SMA) model of the Hydrologic Engineering Center - Hydrologic Modeling System (HEC-HMS) in the production of pseudo-historical flow series. In this work, the focus was on the calibration of the model parameters manually and automatically, using objective functions to analyze the accuracy between the calculated and observed series. Therefore, the program used, HEC-HMS, which is a software that was developed and designed to simulate the hydrological processes of watersheds, was responsible for designing the flow hydrographs. A sensitivity analysis of the parameters was performed and graphically exposed how their variation interferes with the Nash-Sutcliffe value. The study was located in the Crateús sertões region, especially in the 34750000 basin, where fluviometric data were taken. A set of rainfall stations were used as input for rainfall data in the program. These data were treated and used in the elaboration of the mean observed by the Thiessen method. Among the numerous models used in engineering, the model used in this work is a continuous model, which is characterized by simulating events over long periods of time. This type of model must consider some type of accumulation at ground level. In addition, the 34750000 basin distribution model used was concentrated. The model presented satisfactory values following the Nash criteria for the study region in the calibration phase and in the validation phase. The analysis of the hydrographs show that there is a good correlation between the objective functions used and they have a good performance in the determination of synthetic flow series. The results were later compared with the results of Rosa (2019) who calibrated and validated the SMAP model for the hydrographic region of the sertões of Crateús. In this way, the SMA model proved to be an important tool that can help in the planning of water resources in the Brazilian semi-arid region. |

Alexandre, Alan Michell BarrosMourão, Antonio Kevin Peres2022-11-16T20:56:49Z2022-11-16T20:56:49Z2022info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisapplication/pdfMOURÃO, Antonio Kevin Peres.
