The relations between language, society and culture are so intimate that, sometimes it becomes a lot difficult to separate one from another or tell when one ends and the other begins. Some variations that are called regional, for many times can be social, if social, can be related to the speakers that have a certain generational factor, sexual factor or even diaphasic. When you talk about regional northeastern speech, the lexical and the phonetics are the aspects from which you notice the difference between these speeches and the ones from other brazilian regions. In this work we will deal with the lexical aspects of the northeastern speeches that are a trademark of this regional culture. The analysis of the examples that are presented here show us, in a very clear way, the relations that exist between language, society and culture, reinforcing, however, that is the language that connects them, because it reports to society and culture in a very equal way.
