Resumo: This research consists of understanding how clothing acts as a form of expression in the clothing of the dominant woman in the practice of BDSM. To analyze which paths leather followed until finding a prominent place in the sexual practices of this culture. Fashion prints and directs different behaviors to different social groups, with this, we seek to develop research on the historical evolution of leather in fetishistic practice belonging to BDSM culture, in order to understand the mechanisms of fetishism as a language of seduction and power over the other. The methodology applied in this work favored bibliographic and documentary research, through books, monographs, theses, newspapers, cinema, music and fashion. Subsequently, a field research was carried out through structured interviews with women acting as dominating professionals in the city of São Paulo. In this way, it was possible to understand some of the symbolic mechanisms that influence the use of leather as a second skin for the dominator, as an artifact of power.

Analisar por quais caminhos o couro seguiu até encontrar lugar de destaque nas práticas sexuais dessa cultura. A moda imprime e direciona diferentes condutas a diversos grupos sociais, com isso, buscamos desenvolver pesquisa sobre a evolução histórica do couro em prática fetichista pertencente a cultura BDSM, a fim de entender os mecanismos do fetichismo como linguagem de sedução e poder sobre o outro. A metodologia aplicada neste trabalho privilegiou a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, por meio de livros, monografias, teses, jornais, cinema, música e moda. Posteriormente, foi feita uma pesquisa de campo através de entrevista estruturada com mulheres atuantes como profissionais dominadoras na cidade de São Paulo.
