Georeferenciamento do sistema de informações de acidentes de trânsito de Fortaleza (SIAT-FOR): aperfeiçoamento e vantagens

Resumo: This paper describes, firstly, diagnosed problems and implemented solutions to improve the accident’s geocoding process of the Fortaleza’s Traffic Accident Information System (SIAT-FOR). Among the problems, it is highlighted the absence, in the accident report, of the address number of the nearest site to the accident, which solution is quite difficult since its causes are related to inadequate urban planning and lack of staff training in the other agencies involved with the collection of traffic accident data in Fortaleza. Secondly, it presents the advantages of implementing SIAT-FOR within a Geographical Information System (GIS) platform, such as the development of computational routines to register and search for information in the database. Another observed advantage is to create digital maps that allow visualizing the spatial distribution of traffic accidents, as well as the use of point pattern spatial exploratory analysis tools to identify critical spots in the roadway network.

Another observed advantage is to create digital maps that allow visualizing the spatial distribution of traffic accidents, as well as the use of point pattern spatial exploratory analysis tools to identify critical spots in the roadway network.Este trabalho descreve, inicialmente, problemas diagnosticados e soluções implementadas para aperfeiçoar o processo de georeferenciamento dos acidentes armazenados no Sistema de Informações de Acidentes de Trânsito de Fortaleza (SIAT-FOR). Dentre os problemas, destaca-se a ausência, no Boletim de Ocorrência, da numeração do endereço do local defronte ao acidente, que é difícil de ser corrigido pois suas causas estão relacionadas à falta de planejamento urbano e treinamento das equipes dos outros órgãos que auxiliam na coleta de dados de acidentes em Fortaleza. Em seguida, apresenta-se as vantagens de implementar o SIAT-FOR em uma plataforma de Sistema de Informações Geográficas (SIG), como o desenvolvimento de rotinas computacionais para cadastrar e recuperar informações do banco de dados.
