Resumo: | The reading of bodies in Western societies is rooted in physical characteristics, traditionally associated with males or females, which reduces the individuality and possibility of self-identification of self to the detriment of external patterns linked to binaristic logic (male or female, male or female ), which translates our view of sexuality and gender when we assign colors, dress and play in childhood and later, rarely verbalized rules and jobs based on primary and secondary sexual characters. The transexualizer process is characterized by all the legal methods used to make bodily / social changes and promote health support in order to work the individuality of the self based on their own perspective of image and self-understanding. Understanding in two modalities, the outpatient and the hospital, the transexualizer process is anchored in the Network of Attention to Health. The hormone therapy consists of the use of estrogen or testosterone, whose function is to promote changes in primary sexual characteristics and, mainly, however, this use usually receives constant professional follow-up due to wanted changes in therapy. Therefore, the objective of this work is to perform an integrative review on the impacts of hormone therapy on the quality of life of transgender men, whether or not the transsexualizer process. The present study is an integrative review on the quality of life of transgender men in hormone therapy. The databases used were BVS, PubMed, CINAHL, SciELO, LILACS and IBECS. The study was divided into 6 stages: identification of the problem, establishment of criteria for data collection (inclusion and exclusion), determination of the information to be observed in the studies, evaluation of the findings for inclusion in the review, interpretation of the findings, and presentation of the review. Twelve studies, all international, with a quantitative character, using several instruments to evaluate the quality of life were obtained at the end of the data collection. The main aspect observed was the relationship between quality of life and mental aspects, in which 9 of the 12 studies indicated a probable positive impact, but two did not find a relation between hormone therapy and quality of life and one obtained a negative relation, however, the same reports that this is probably a spurious result. Some variables were in synergy with the hormone therapy, being these the age, sexual satisfaction, schooling and labor situation, body image and vocal satisfaction. We did not obtain studies that correlate the performance of nursing with the transexualizador process or quality of life related to hormone therapy for transgender men. It is concluded that the use of hormone therapy may be a predictor of quality of life in transgender men, but more studies should be developed to evaluate this relationship, especially from a national perspective. In addition, nursing must take over the theme, developing interventions or nursing diagnoses that will promote and qualify its action against this population. |

Peixoto, Raquel Autran CoelhoSousa, Weslley Monteiro Amora2019-07-10T11:31:17Z2019-07-10T11:31:17Z2019info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisapplication/pdfSOUSA, W.
