Resumo: The area of this work has 48,76 hectares, located on Lower Jaguaribe, eastern region of Ceará State. The work consisted on clay technological characterization for industrial parameters determination such as volume and quality. Geologically is part of tertiary and quaternary age alluvial deposits. The definition of clays physical properties in its natural state were characterized directly in field, aiming to establish plasticity degree, texture, regarding to cohesion between sand, silt and clay particles, and color, featuring mineralogical properties as impurities (quartz, mica, iron oxide, carbonates and organic matter). After drying, are again taken to bali. The obtained clay powders were identified, stored and forwarded to X-Ray analysis. This study also used as a tool the geological modeling with Surpac 6.2 software, to generate models of the mineralized solid, interpreted in 3D (orthogonal axes x,y,z). The used data were from boreholes and the database program was Microsoft Acess 2000. The chemical characterization was performed by using XRF (X- Ray fluorescence). The entire material selection was divided into two stages: 1 st stage - twelve boreholes for bulk determination by depth. 2nd stage - geographical coordinates associated with lithology, setting a block model. This method was utilized for quantification in terms of tones (t). The highest iron oxide ferro, demonstrating an ease in obtaining reddish coloration pieces in lower firing temperatures leveis. However, are not indicated for use in exposed ceramics or tiles in areas with high sea spray attack, because the iron oxide reaction can cause pathologies in pieces in medium-long term. The diffractometer analysis used to identify: montmorillonite, illite, quartz, muscovite, kaolinite, nontronite.

A análise difratométrica indentificou: montimorilonita, ilita, quartzo, muscovita, caulinita, nontronita.Martinelli, CésarSousa, Adriano Cavalcante de2019-05-16T19:18:00Z2019-05-16T19:18:00Z2014info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisapplication/pdfSOUSA, Adriano Cavalcante de.
