This work has the general objective of presenting a history, under a literary criticism scope, of Mário Gomes forgotten and marginal poetry. Keeping in mind that in a first moment we are going to delineate a notion about the problematic concept of marginal poetry. Our text will present the main aspects that features the poetic art qualified as marginal and based on that we will try to understand Mário Gomes language and abstraction. The poet Mário, also known as wandering-poet, shows us in his experimenting way of expression a poetic of the absurd, a feeling of existence in the world through the self, this reality that he embraced through his madness and that it is also an organization of concepts unspeakable until then. Starting from there, we are going to look into this poetic as a way of rethinking, structuring and rearticulating it as a worldly absurd wandering poetic that once lounged inebriated and adrift in the wreckage of Fortaleza's streets. Therefore, we are going to guide ourselves from a specific and scarce bibliography (books and academic papers), like Catunda (2013, 2015), Gouveia (2015), Mattoso (1981), Brito (2013), among others.
