Língua, sujeito e história: análise de verbetes no dicionário regionalista do Rio Grande do Sul

In this article, we investigate the definitions of “Gaúcho”, “China” and “Prenda”, presents in “Dicionário de Regionalismos do Rio Grande do Sul”, willing to observe the senses’ movements when we propose to investigate the nomination and the designation of these entries. The mobilization of these concepts guide us to understand the functioning of the language, the subject and the history on the dictionaries’ organization. We realize that the movements between nominate and/or designate begin a historical and symbolic inscription of the subject determined by the social formations. Therefore, our research verified on the studied dictionary a permanence of the nomination Gaúcho with a displacement on the designation, while the definition of the “gaúcha” woman presents different nominations and designations. In this case, the drifts of the meanings are given by historical and social determinations inscribing the subject in a relation with the symbolic. Our analysis are guided by the theories of the French Discourse Analysis and the History of the Linguistic Ideas in Brasil, following the studies developed by Eni Orland and others brazilians researchers.
