Resumo: In this paper we analyse, in the light of the relation between formal and semantic-pragmatic criteria, some contexts in which more often occurs the process of nominalization by anpahoric and discursive deictic elements. We aim at relating some subsets of nominalizating expressions to the various functions they can perform in written texts.

We aim at relating some subsets of nominalizating expressions to the various functions they can perform in written texts.Neste trabalho, analisamos, a partir da relação entre critérios formais e semântico-pragmáticos, alguns contextos em que mais freqüentemente se instauram os processos de nomeação anafórica e dêitico-discursiva. A nomeação, que consiste numa operação de encapsulamento de porções textuais de extensão variada, desempenha um importante papel de organização de informações no discurso, bem como, às vezes, de veiculação de conteúdos de valor axiológico (cf. Conte, 1986). Por essa estratégia textualizadora (Koch, 1997), as “informações-suporte” (cf. Apothéloz; Chanet, 1997), que se encontram difundidas no cotexto anterior ou posterior, são erigidas em referentes, os quais não apresentam, no universo discursivo, antecedentes pontualmente delimitáveis.
