Composição entre atividades agrícolas e não-agrícolas no meio rural brasileiro: efeitos sobre os diferenciais de rendimentos e sobre a segurança alimentar

This dissertation is made by two chapters. In the first chapter, the discussion is made on the optics of the last decades, because the rural one undergoes several transformations in which the need for other economic activities, the different agricultural ones, stand out. These activities, termed "non-agricultural", provided sources of optional profits for life and work in the countryside, contributing to rural development in Brazil. The objective was to estimate income differentials between agricultural and non-agricultural activities in the rural environment of the country. Data were used for the National Household Sample Survey (PNAD) of 2015, while the models used were the Blinder-Oaxaca and RIF Regression. It is noted that the activities in the farm generate the bases when compared with the old ones. From many the shares use at sample, higher year and higher literature literature with higher actions upper as the activities. Finally, the importance of non-agricultural activities for the development of the Brazilian rural environment is demonstrated. For the second chapter, the process of research on the growth of non-agricultural occupations is a process that can be highlighted among the recent transformations in the Brazilian rural environment. Aiming to grow this growth, expenses with unpaid practices on food security in Brazilian rural households. For this, the data of the National Survey by Household Sample (2013) is used the model of Propensity Score Matching (PSM) associated to the methods Kernel and Nearest Neighbor (NN). It is observed that the non-agricultural activities do not contribute to the imposition of a diet and Kernel highlighted because they present the best quality of pairing. Overall, the results may not be an uncorroborated activity for minimizing food insecurity, but also for a wide variety of incomes.
