Resumo: Civil construction is dynamic, always advancing in new technologies that enable faster, more economical and safer constructions. Mixed structural systems have been increasingly gaining ground in the national civil construction market, due, essentially, to some advantages such as the dispensing of formwork and shoring, directly implying the reduction of deadlines, as well as an advantage from a structural point of view, since enables the design and execution of slimmer structures due to the better use of the main properties of steel and concrete. Shear connectors are the main elements of composite beams with the functionality to connect the concrete slab to the metal profile, thus making the set work efficiently and jointly. Straight shear tests (push-out), on a reduced scale, are used in the design and analysis process of shear connectors in composite beams, being essential for the development and improvement of these new technologies. However, most of the time, they are costly and not practical, therefore, numerical simulations are born as a very viable alternative for analyzing the behavior of these structures in the most varied situations, for this, a previous calibration using data obtained experimentally is needed. This study aims to develop a reduced and simplified three-dimensional numerical model of the push-out test that satisfactorily simulates the elastic and plastic behavior of rectangle-type truss shear connectors. During the model discretization, preexisting finite elements were chosen, available in the ABAQUS software library (version 6.14-1), aiming at a simple modeling and fast processing. For validation of the study, the confrontation of experimental and numerical results was used, and parameters such as longitudinal slip, transverse spacing (uplift), stress distribution and shear connector deformation were analyzed. The numerical model developed met all the imposed requirements, being light processing and satisfactorily meeting the outlined validation parameters.
