Resumo: This paper presents the first results of a research experience: it is the evaluation research of social policies of solidarity finance – the Solidarity Revolving Funds (GRF) in the State of Paraíba. The FRS are instruments of solidarity finance (grants) targeted to the farming community who practice self-management of these funds, creating savings to be reinvested in the community. The central focus of this policy is to strengthen solidarity and reciprocity as a circuit of ancient practices of the peasant world, and simultaneously enter the commercial agricultural production in the circuit with a view to increasing income and regional development. Ongoing research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the policy from the worldview of the community and local indicators of sustainability. Preliminary evaluation indicates the potential for funds to strengthen the family farm, in the discussion of gender and agroecological practices.

Os FRS são instrumentos de finanças solidárias (a fundo perdido) direcionadas às comunidades camponesas que praticam a autogestão dos referidos fundos, formando uma poupança a ser reinvestida na própria comunidade. O foco central da política é fortalecer a solidariedade e o circuito da reciprocidade como práticas ancestrais do universo camponês, e, simultaneamente, inserir a produção agrícola no circuito mercantil com vistas ao incremento da renda e ao desenvolvimento territorial. A pesquisa em curso visa avaliar a efetividade da política a partir da visão de mundo da comunidade e dos indicadores locais de sustentabilidade.
