Resumo: The present TCC, in the bibliographic revision mode, deals with the subject of Physical Exercise in the treatment of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD): impact of resistence exercise. The objective of this study is to report the importance of resistance training in the treatment of patients with CAD. Based on the need of Physical Education professionals to familiarize themselves with the various manifestations of coronary artery disease and with the methods to evaluate, prevent and treat these conditions through physical exercise, because CAD is the most prevalent type of cardiovascular disease in adults . In this sense, the work was based on searches in scientific knowledge, from April to May 2017. The methodology used to carry out this study was a bibliographic review, which suggests a systematic approach, through consultation in the Google Database Academic. The following search expression was used: Resisted Exercise AND Cardiac Rehabilitation AND Coronary Artery Disease. The research carried out originated 650 articles, which passed the following acceptance criteria: type of material: scientific article; types of articles: intervention and review; language: texts published in Portuguese; period: restricted to the period from 2007 to 2017; to verify the relevance of the studies: the articles were analyzed through the Qualis from A1 to B2; type of sample: only in humans. All the titles were read, later the summaries of the studies that fit the eligibility criteria, accepting 23 texts. From the observations it was diagnosed several gaps that need to be filled, regarding the prescription of the Resistance Exercise for CAD. The literature does not provide sufficient data to estimate a better dose-response of the ER, or allow a possible analysis of results that consolidate an effective clinical practice. It is extremely important to emphasize that this study does not end in itself, and there is a need for contributions from other professionals who research or act with physical exercises and cardiovascular diseases, specifically, coronary artery disease

Foi utilizada a seguinte expressão de busca: Exercício Resistido AND Reabilitação Cardíaca AND Doença Arterial Coronariana. Silva, Carlos AlbertoBessa, Eliakim Maia2018-11-09T18:24:20Z2018-11-09T18:24:20Z2017info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisapplication/pdfBESSA, Eliakim Maia.
