Resumo: Anxiety is a common problem in oncology patients, stagnating with disease stigma and treatment, especially chemotherapy. Health problems in the patient include: worsening of physical condition, poor patient choice and treatment of social roles. Music therapy is an integrative practice in health that can be performed as a father's disease in his or her clinical practice. The use of music has been legitimate in cancer patients without the relief of pain, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, anxiety and anxiety. The results on the medical research have been in the patients with clinical patients in the patients with clinical patients in antineoplastic; characterize a sample as the clinical and demographic variables; to describe how anxiety-state scores before and after a storm as classification (mean, high, and low) and comparable as pre- test and post-test anxiety state averages. The method has already been done in a pilot study of an experimental, uncontrolled clinical trial, conducted in a chemotherapy outpatient clinic of a university hospital in Fortaleza-CE. A data collection uses two instruments, the first one, the clinical data and socio-demographic data bin, and the second, the Trait-State Anxiety Inventory (IDATE). The song was in the time of child of the nature, having its application lasted 30 minutes. The initial sample size was 22 participants. Data analysis was performed with the SPSS program, version 22. The sample consisted of 12 patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment between 27 and 78 years, being an end woman with incomplete elementary school, catholic religion, marital status or in stable union .To have such as cared for, that were to follow behavior by postings, having cancer and breast neoplasm more prevalent. The average anxiety levels before the intervention were predominantly moderate (75%, 9/12) and high (16.6%, 2/12), since they were predominant in the high level (41.6%; / 12) and moderate (50%, 6/12), evidencing a reduction in anxiety levels in the sample studied. The comparison of the mean anxiety-state scores presented by the patients in the pre-test (M = 42.5, SD = 8.98) and post- test (M = 32.7, SD = 8.32) showed a reduction in the mean of state-anxiety after the intervention, being statistically significant according to the Student's t-test.

Rodrigues, Andrea BezerraLima, Brena Ívina Amorim de2019-07-10T14:06:01Z2019-07-10T14:06:01Z2019info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisapplication/pdfLIMA, B.
