Assédios moral e sexual no âmbito dos estágios supervisionados: entre a sujeição e o aprendizado docente

Harassment is present in every institution regardless being schools, universities or work environment, and, unfortunately, several times, this behavior is treated, under the excuse of tolerance, indifferent and omit. Moral harassment occurs when there is the intention of disqualify the victim, in a deliberate and constant way, psychologically weakening him/her, which can lead the victim to a condition of depersonalization. Moral harassment should not be confused with sexual harassment. The later may manifest as a more severe case of the former, which is wider in scope. Sexual harassment is characterized by the embarrassment of someone, by means of words, gestures or acts, made in order to obtain sexual advantages. This is also due the fact the persecutor usually has a superior hierarchical condition. Hence, the acts of stalking and persecution have a sexual goal. In this context, this work has the objective to study the possible occurrence of moral and/or sexual harassment during the internships carried on by students of the under graduation in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) done by means of a survey with the students. The project was initially approved by the Ethical on Research Committee from UFC. After approval of it, it was applied a semi-structured survey with 13 questions to a pilot group, so the viability of such method could be tested. After application, some small modifications were introduced and the final survey had 16 questions. This was then applied to 68 students enrolled on the activity of internship or that have been enrolled in such activity at least one time in the past. The survey was conducted in the second semester of 2016. From the answers analysis, we conclude that less than half of the students (males and females) on the activity of internship on the Biological Sciences from Federal University of Ceará have faced some harassment which do not diminishes the gravity of such situation since they have experienced several health and physical issues due to such process. It is expected that this research is just a pioneer work to help on the identification of the occurrence of sexual and moral harassment inside and outside the schools and universities.
