Resumo: AIDS, as complex subject, mobilizes for the public sphere, parameters relegated to the private sphere. It also unveils private court questions, which are particular of the sexual area. Our objective with this study was to understand the implications of the positive serology for HIV in the sexuality of women who live with the disease. It's a qualitative and descriptive study, carried out from May to June 2006 using semi-structured interview with 12 users from the Clinic of Infectlogy in Juazeiro do Norte-CE. By the technique of content analysis four categories had been established: 1. Sexual sphere: changes in the sexual practices; 2. types of experienced sexual practices; 3. Meaning of the condom; 4. the sexual desire. Gender roles are decisive for their practices, sensations of pleasure and use of the condom, in which gender inequality are shown as a massive component, calling attention to the feminine fragility front to the exercise of its sexuality and the process of being and feeling of the individual.

Objetivou-se compreender as implicações da sorologia positiva para HIV na sexualidade de mulheres que vivem com a doença. Estudo qualitativo, descritivo, realizado de maio a junho de 2006, utilizando entrevista semi-estruturada com 12 usuárias do ambulatório de infectologia de Juazeiro do Norte - CE. Pela técnica de análise de conteúdo foram estabelecidas quatro categorias: 1. esfera sexual: mudanças nas práticas sexuais; 2. tipos de práticas sexuais experienciadas; 3. significado do preservativo; 4. o desejo sexual. Papéis de gênero são decisivos para as práticas exercidas, sensações de prazer despertadas e uso do preservativo, em que desigualdades de gênero aparecem como um componente maciço, chamando atenção à fragilidade feminina frente ao exercício da sexualidade e ao processo de ser/sentir-se indivíduo.El SIDA, como complejo objeto, desvela cuestiones intimas, particularmente del área sexual. Se trató de entender las implicaciones de la serología positiva para el VIH en la sexualidad de las mujeres que viven con la enfermedad. Investigación cualitativa, descriptiva, realizada de mayo a junio de 2006, a través de entrevista estructurada en parte, utilizada en 12 usuarios de la clínica de infecciones de Juazeiro do Norte-CE. Por medio de la técnica de análisis de contenido se establecieron cuatro categorías: 1. Esfera sexual: cambios en las prácticas sexuales; 2. Tipos de prácticas sexuales vivenciadas; 3. Significado del preservativo; 4. El deseo sexual.
