Resumo: | Quality of life (QOL) is a complex concept, multifactorial and has received many approaches and meanings. The objective of this study was to evaluate the quality of life of post-graduate students of the Graduate Program in Dentistry Dentistry (PPGO), Faculty of Pharmacy, Dentistry and Nursing (FFOE) of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). The study was cross-sectional with quantitative approach, using the WHOQOL-BREF employment. The collection was developed from June to August 2015 and took place at the FFOE / UFC, which is installed PPGO. The study enrolled 88 master's students, doctoral and post-doctoral, enrolled in PPGO / UFC in 2015. The students answered the survey questionnaire, the first part consists of sociodemographic information and the second by WHOQOL-BREF. For the analysis of the QOL data of the four areas studied, the physical, psychological, social and environmental relationships, and self-assessment of QoL indices "dissatisfaction" was used, "indifference" and "satisfaction". There was a larger number of female students (61.4%); 48.9% were single and 73.9% had no children. 34.1% said they devote themselves exclusively to graduate activities and 53.4% worked as a clinical dentist in the public or private service. 17% reported having a monthly income of two minimum wages. 75% considered themselves religious people and 87.5% said that religion gives meaning to their lives. 31.8% were non-graduate scholarship. Most (53.4%) of students was in the doctoral / post-doctoral and 46.6% of respondents were in the second year. Regarding QOL, 55.7% were classified at level satisfaction. The physical domain when compared to the other three areas and the self-assessment of QOL was significantly lower (p <0.001). Already the self-assessment of the respondents about the QoL compared with the physical, psychological and environmental domains had higher statistical significance (p <0.001). Some socio-demographic data, such as being single (p = 0.005), be considered religious (p = 0.041) and do not have stock in graduate school (p = 0.025) were statistically significant when associated with analysis of scores of QOL, and these classified in unhappy / indifferent category. When associated domains and self-assessment of QoL with sociodemographic variables, there was statistical significance in the frequency variables of religious practice (p = 0.046) and year graduate (p = 0.025) in the physical domain; sex (p = 0.016) and considered religion (p = 0.008) in the psychological; marital status, both in social relationships domain (p = 0.017) and the environment (p = 0.008) and sex (p = 0.048) and frequency of religious practice (p = 0.031) in the self-assessment, all being classified as unhappy / indifferent. It was concluded that QOL of graduate students was good and that married students who considered themselves religious and those who owned stock in graduate school showed better QOL. |

It was concluded that QOL of graduate students was good and that married students who considered themselves religious and those who owned stock in graduate school showed better QOL.Qualidade de vida (QV) é um conceito complexo, multifatorial e que tem recebido muitos enfoques e significados.
