This research is based on the work environment of the female police of the Women's Defense Department of Fortaleza. Its main objective was to investigate the main factors that cause stress to the civil police of a Women's Defense Police Station and to identify the main factors that cause stress to the civil police of a Women's Defense Police Station (DDM) and to understand how physical and mental health of the civil police of a Women's Defense Department (DDM) may be impacted by stressors. For this, a quantitative research was carried out with a questionnaire adapted from the Lipp Stress Symptom Inventory (ISSL). After applying the questionnaire and tabulating the data, 77% of the police officers who participated in the research were included in some stage of stress, namely: alertness, resistance, exhaustion. Amongst the activities identified as stressors, the main stressing activity was identified as the "occurrence report".
