Serviços de atendimentos pré-hospitalares SAMU e bombeiros: missão e diferenciação na atuação

Introduction: Emergency and mobile emergency services in Brazil arose because of the modern need to create care that covered the clinical causes and external causes, especially those traumatic resulting from the exponential growth of large Brazilian cities. These services of relevance are provided by Emergency Mobile Care Service (SAMU) and Military Fire Brigades that have differentiated and complementary assignments. Objective: To understand the functionality of the work process between the Ceara Military Fire Departament (CBMCE) and SAMU in the performance perspective of the APH services. Methodology: This study will be carried out through an exploratory bibliographic research. From this literature review emerged: History of pre-hospital care in Ceará, Brazil and worldwide; French and North American service models; Brazilian medical regulation; External causes: 2nd cause of death in Brazil; History of CBMCE, SOS Fortaleza and SAMU Fortaleza; Legal basis of APH; National Emergency and Emergency Program; CBMCE and SAMU assignments; Regulation centers: CIOPS and CURM; Communication: Code S and Code Q. Conclusion: The results show that despite advances in the health sector in the APH, there are still gaps in the system and there is still room to improve the planning of integrated actions between the main service bodies (CB and SAMU). Due to the historical values of the APH in Brazil, captained by the CB, and numerous legal aspects that involve it, there is still an administrative improvement in order to integrate it in fact.
