Due to the growing concern with the environment and the health of current and next generations, pressure for changes and evolution has been generated, both in public policies and in the corporate environment. Among the issues that cause this concern, is the management of solid waste, a problem that has been enhanced by population growth, together with increased consumption. Taking into account the relevance of this worldwide theme, the present work brings a survey on the situation of Reverse Logistics, an important instrument of the National Solid Waste Policy, in the city of Fortaleza - CE. For this purpose, national, state and municipal laws were collected to obtain the knowledge of the legislative framework in which the theme is inserted and supported. A survey was also carried out with the people of Fortaleza through an online questionnaire, to collect the view of the final consumer in the face of reverse logistics, as they are a fundamental part for the functioning of the logistics systems. As a result of 411 responses, it was found that 60% of respondents were unaware of the term reverse logistics. Regarding the correct disposal of electronic waste, lamps, medicines, batteries, and tires, the percentage was 79%, 47%, 36%, 70% and 66%, respectively. Demonstrating a positive scenario, although not ideal. However, it is necessary to turn to the low percentages of lamps and medicines, which may be linked to the few collection points existing in the municipality, raised in the mapping of the points of disposal of such waste present in Fortaleza. An educational booklet was also prepared with information on this topic, together with the availability of the collected collection points.
