Métodos didáticos de baixo custo para o ensino de microbiologia no Ensino Médio: da teoria à prática

Some Biology contents are difficult to be visualized and inserted in the real world. Among these topics, the area of microbiology gives you, because we are going to deal with subjects that we do not approach others, but at the same time, important because we will be involved in health, ecology, agronomy, and in various technologies in food production. To improve students' understanding of these contents, a set of classes at EEMTI Professora Telina Barbosa da Costa, in Fortaleza, Ceará. Using didactic methods, such as the elaboration of a practice of cultivation of microorganisms, carried out by the students themselves, which had as a sample, the hands of the students themselves, without any type of asepsis and after cleaning it with alcohol, thus creating a contextualization with the body hygiene theme. Since we know that, in general, the conditions of school laboratories are not adequate, and even those that have some investment can be abandoned and deteriorated, we carried out an experiment with low-cost and easy-to-find materials, such as gelatin and bouillon cube. In preparing the content, we relied on educators such as Ausubel and Paulo Freire. After applying the classes, a great perception on the part of the applicator of the class and the students could be perceived. There was a notable participation on the part of the students during the classes. And the experiment took place as expected, with all means of culture developing and maintaining what was planned financially, even receiving inquiries about whether it would be possible for the director of this work to return to the school to apply new classes in the same model. Showing that practical classes do not necessarily need expensive and complex materials to be developed, however, these classes must be well planned and use the work of important educators, creating a favorable environment for learning, capable of arousing students' curiosity, critical and that connects theoretical and practical teaching.
