Qualidade de vida no trabalho: um estudo com mulheres da Polícia Militar que atuam em Fortaleza

This study aims to investigate the Quality of Work Life (QWL) of women of the Military Police of Ceará, based on the theoretical model of Walton (1973). The research shows the evolution of the concept of QWL main models and organizational challenges in the implementation of effective policies. The process of integrating women into the labor market and the Military Police in Brazil are presented. The relevance of this topic is due to the need to study the chosen audience and their levels of QWL, relationship still little explored in the literature. This study used a quantitative, descriptive approach, fieldwork, and data analysis was done through a survey along the 81 women of the Military Police of Ceará (PMCE). The results point to a dissatisfaction with the variables of Fair and Appropriate Compensation and Growth Opportunity and Security. The categories that received the highest ratings were in the Social Integration Organization, Use and Capacity Development and Social Relevance of Work Life. Overall, the average of the categories presented were dissatisfied and indifferent between the Likert scale, demonstrating women's perceptions of the Military Police of Ceará about QWL. In future research, it may indicate the development of new models to assess the impact of socio demographic variables in the categories of QWL second Walton (1973).
