One intends to think about the photograph as a informacional source, to analyze which the paper of the same one in the current society. The research was become fullfilled in the federal University of the Ceará, in the Center of Humanities, had been carried through interviews and applied questionnaires conceming the use ofthe photograph as information source, with pupils of the University. With the end of the research we conclude that, the photograph is a informacional source, a so used document how much any another one and that it is each more present time in the society and the academic environment.
