Resumo: Soil is considered as one of the main natural resources indispensable for life on the planet. In addition to serving as a support medium, it is a source of nutrients for plants and microorganisms, when they are of good quality, which is associated with their physical, chemical and biological characteristics. Soils in arid and semi-arid regions have low natural fertility and are poor in organic matter, a condition that can be aggravated by sandy texture, water scarcity and inadequate management. Thus, there is a need to evaluate the addition of soil conditioners that promote improvement in soil quality, such as clay and organic matter. Thus, to evaluate the effects of the addition of clay and organic compost on sandy soil on their chemical properties, this experiment was conducted in a greenhouse, testing four clay contents (10%, 15%, 26% and 31%) in the soil. presence and absence of organic compound. Soil samples were collected in Pacajus and Fortaleza / CE. The soils were dried and sieved in a 2 mm sieve. Eight treatments, T1, T2, T3 and T4 without compound addition, and T5, T6, T7 and T8 with compound addition were assembled. The treatments T2 and T6 were assembled after extraction of clay + silt of soil part with 26% clay, then added to the soil part with 10%, where after granulometry the 15% clay content was obtained. The organic compound used was characterized by chemical attributes at the beginning of the experiment and the soils were characterized by chemical attributes at the beginning and end of the experiment. Variance analysis was performed with comparison of means by Tukey test at 5% significance level. The association between clay and organic compost reduced the decomposition of organic matter, raising the pH in the treatment to 6.1 in the T8 treatment, against pH 5.2 in the absence of compost in the T4 treatment. In the treatments with presence of organic compost there was reduction in the potential acidity, increase of the organic carbon and available phosphorus. Organic compost as a soil conditioner brought more positive results than the addition of clay, which reinforces the use of organic conditioners to improve soil chemical attributes.

Escobar, Maria Eugenia OrtizLima, Antonio Yan Viana2020-02-21T19:52:09Z2020-02-21T19:52:09Z2019info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisapplication/pdfLIMA, Antonio Yan Viana.
