Resumo: The main objective of this work is to show the mophostructural description of Lajedo Soledade throughout the mapping of the site. It was used primary data gathering techniques, Petrographic analysis, Vante and Satellite imagery, in addition with the bibliographic analysis of the area and of the region, to better explain the formation. Its analysis was based on the chemical weathering of the local limestone originating the “karst”, distributed in various forms of landing with local neotectonic influence and characterized by limestone layers as a way to understand what indeed happened. The mapped site has a 49km², although the Lajedo has only 2km², main exposed limestone area, located in an Apodi district, known as Soledade, in the northern section of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, in the Potiguar Basin, more precisely, in the Jandaira Formation.

Foram utilizados técnicas de coleta de dados primários, análises petrográficas, imagens de Vante e de Satélite, além do estudo bibliográfico da área e da regional para melhor explicar tal formação. Seu estudo foi baseado no intemperismo químico do calcário presente formando o “carste”, distribuído em diversas formas de relevo tendo influência da neotectônica presente e caracterizado através de fácies carbonáticas como forma de entender o que de fato ocorreu.
