Resumo: | Evidentiality – which is defined as the semantic category that indicates the sources of information on which the speaker is based (GONZÁLEZ VÁZQUEZ, 2006) – can be observed in different textual genres. In this paper we aim to analyze it within the context of journalistic interviews, more specifically in Argentina's two most visited online newspapers (P1 and P2). In order to do so, we have initially built a corpus of about 20,000 words, divided into two themes: culture and politics. Then, based on the theoretical framework of the Functional Discourse Grammar (FDG), we have classified the occurrences according to eight categories, which allude to the different levels of grammatical organization (Interpersonal, Representational and Morphosyntactic) as well as to the contextual aspects of the chosen journalistic genre. After the analysis, we have concluded that the predominant types of evidentiality and source were reportativity, source and speaker. These results are respectively related to the purpose of the interview – which is to show opinions and points of view of an individual who arouses collective interest – and to the person who plays a leading role in this genre: the interviewee, who usually talks about himself. |

Miguilim – Revista Eletrônica do Netlli2020-07-06T13:07:12Z2020-07-06T13:07:12Z2019info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleapplication/pdfMAIA, Luana Ingrid Gomes; PRATA, Nadja Paulino Pessoa; VIDAL, Renata Pereira.
