Resumo: This article aims to participate in the still current controversy over the relations between text and hypertext. We start considering the critics on the reductionist treatment of the studies that defend to be all text a hypertext, to propose a way of analysis that avoids such reductionism. In this way, we intend to contribute to the strengthening of the postulates about hypertext, indicating that studies about the digital sphere can benefit greatly if they avoid a dichotomous perspective of comparison and adopt a less restrictive and more reliable conception of text of the studies done currently in Textual Linguistics.

Partimos da consideração a respeito das críticas sobre o tratamento reducionista dos estudos que defendem ser todo texto um hipertexto, para propor um caminho de análise que evite tal reducionismo.
