Resumo: | Currently, with the diversification of products demanded, manufacturing systems have become increasingly complex and difficult operation. Hardly responsible for manufacturing has all the information necessary to anticipate the details necessary for its implementation. On the other hand, companies don´t have the time or resources to evaluate alternative manufacturing the real system. Thus, the simulation based on part geometry becomes important, as accurately portrays the characteristics of the product being manufactured, making management of manufacturing easy. The objective of this work is to show how to simulate manufacturing systems from the geometry of the piece composed by Features. From the simulation, the user can make decisions related to the times and costs of manufacturing without changing the routine of business. For the development work was carried out a bibliographic review of the areas of Manufacturing Systems, Simulation and Features. With respect to research methodology, the work was an applied nature, the approach is quantitative, it is an exploratory research and the technical procedure used in this study was the simulation. To analyze the advantages and limitations of the approach proposed in this work was performed the simulation of a manufacturing system specific. |

Dificilmente o responsável pela manufatura tem toda a informação necessária para antever os detalhes necessários a sua execução. Por outro lado, as empresas não dispõem de tempo nem recursos para testar alternativas de manufatura no sistema real. Com isso, a simulação baseada na geometria da peça se torna importante, pois retrata fielmente as características do produto a ser manufaturado, facilitando a gestão da manufatura. O objetivo deste trabalho é mostrar como simular sistemas de manufatura a partir da geometria da peça composta pelas Features. A partir dessas simulação, o usuário pode tomar decisões relacionada aos tempos e aos custos de manufatura sem alterar o cotidiano da empresa. Para o desenvolvimento do trabalho foi realizada uma revisão bibliografica das áreas de Sistemas de Manufatura, Simulação e Features. A meotodologia de pesquisa do trabalho é de natureza aplicada, a forma de abordar é a quantitativa, é uma pesquisa exploratória e o procedimento técnico utilizado na pesquisa foi a simulação.
