Resumo: The evacuation from crowded places, subjected to physical and temporal restrictions, is a matter that deserves special attention. If a crowd fails to escape in time from a hazardous environment, by taking a wrong way or by selecting a bad exit, there is great risk of injuries and death. Simulations of crowd evacuation are very important to try to minimize those types of risk. However, trying to simulate emergency situations in real environments is either very expensive or even impossible. Therefore, computer simulation of crowd evacuation is a better alternative. The soccer stadiums are examples of environments that may present risk to people's lives in case of emergency evacuation. The main objective of this work is to gain understanding of the inherent aspects of the problem of emergency evacuation simulation, and to investigate the dynamics of the evacuation behavior of crowds during an emergency evacuation from a soccer stadium. For this, it was proposed a new model for crowd evacuation based on the cellular automata model. In order to validate the proposed model, tests in different situations were performed. It was shown that the proposed model is able to simulate the evacuation of complex environments in an efficient way.

O litoral do bairro Sabiaguaba, extremo leste de Fortaleza, Ã o Ãnico que ainda possui algumas caracterÃsticas originais parcialmente conservadas e, por conta disto, duas Unidades de ConservaÃÃo foram criadas com o intuito de preservar o que resta conservado do Ãnico campo de dunas da capital cearense e seus ecossistemas. Este trabalho constitui-se de uma anÃlise geoambiental das Unidades de ConservaÃÃo de Sabiaguaba, e seu entorno. Para tanto, a pesquisa baseou-se na Teoria GeossistÃmica e em trabalhos sobre a Ãrea e o tema em questÃo, alÃm de utilizar materiais geocartogrÃficos para a visualizaÃÃo mais geral da Ãrea para se chegar, com os trabalhos de campo, ao reconhecimento da verdade terrestre. De acordo com os critÃrios adotados, as caracterÃsticas geolÃgico-geomorfolÃgicas, pedolÃgicas e vegetacionais foram fundamentais para a melhor compreensÃo da Ãrea de estudo. Foram identificadas as potencialidades e limitaÃÃes da Ãrea, os diversos tipos de uso e ocupaÃÃo, os impactos consequentes e o estado geoambiental para, por fim, elaborar propostas de manejo e gestÃo das referidas unidades. Ao final do trabalho, fica evidenciada a necessidade de se tomar medidas de manejo ambiental que possibilitem a mitigaÃÃo dos impactos identificados e que melhorem as condiÃÃes ecolÃgicas e a qualidade de vida da populaÃÃo local.
