Efeito do delineamento experimental na estimaÃÃo da variabilidade e seleÃÃo de genÃtipos extraprecoces de feijÃo-caupi

Resumo: The precocity has come to be one of the new goals of improving cowpea, because it is an important feature, as is the possibility of carrying out up to three crops a year. The objective was to select individual materials cowpea, from F3 progeny: 6, to obtain extraprecoces lines, and determine the efficiency of selection. The experiments were conducted in the irrigated perimeter Baixo AcaraÃ, in the municipality of Marco, CE; located at a latitude of 3Â04'60 '' S, longitude 40Â04'51''W to 52 meters. Were evaluated 15 progenies in F3: 6 in two selection cycles in consecutive years. For both selection cycles, the traits were: number of days to flowering (NDF), number of days to maturity (NDM), plant height (ALT), pod length (CPV), number of seeds per pod (NGV), number of grains per plant (NGP), weight of 100 grains (M100G) and total weight (MTOT). The data for the characteristics were analyzed according to the procedures established for a mixed model, by using the likelihood ratio test (LRT), with the REML/BLUP ethodology. Was performed,analysis deviance to determine the genetic variability among progenies. There were significant differences among the progenies, showing that there is variability between them. It was found that all the characters presented heritability of high magnitude and high accuracy, for all traits showing the stability of the material and the accuracy of selection. It is noticed that all 62 subjects had higher behavior witnesses BRS Tumucumaque and always green, as the NDF and NDM, these results show that all these materials can compose basis for future breeding programs. Individuals who had distinguished himself as the precocity (NDF and NDM) were 12, 15, 16, 19, 21, 30, 33, 37 and 52, with days to flowering and maturity below witnesses.

Foi realizada anÃlise de deviance para a determinaÃÃo da variabilidade genÃtica entre as progÃnies avaliadas. Houve diferenÃa significativa entre as progÃnies, mostrando que hà variabilidade entre as mesmas. Verificou-se que todos os caracteres apresentaram herdabilidade de alta magnitude e elevada acurÃcia, para todos os caracteres, mostrando a estabilidade dos materiais e a precisÃo da seleÃÃo. Percebe-se que todos os 62 indivÃduos apresentaram comportamento superior as testemunhas BRS Tumucumaque e Sempre verde, quanto ao NDF e NDM, estes resultados mostram que todos estes materiais podem compor base para futuros programas de melhoramento.
