Resumo: This article presents legal and socio-spatial reflections related to the urban expansion of the municipalities of Crato, Juazeiro do Norte and Barbalha, a group of cities known as the "CRAJUBAR triangle". The article aims to correlate urban expansion and the urban legislation of subdivision, land use and occupation in CRAJUBAR municipalities in the post-creation of the Metropolitan Region of Cariri in the period between 2009 and 2021. The research in question is classified according to the qualitative-quantitative approach, with exploratory/explanatory objectives of mixed procedures of bibliographic survey and document analysis.It was concluded that there is a growing urban expansion of the cities studied, as well as problems in the elaboration of Master Plans, delay in the revision of municipal legislation on the use, subdivision and occupation of urban land, in addition to the existence of a real estate appeal for soil control.

O artigo objetiva correlacionar a expansão urbana e a legislação urbanística de parcelamento, uso e ocupação do solo nos municípios do CRAJUBAR no pós-criação da Região Metropolitana do Cariri no período compreendido entre 2009 a 2021. A pesquisa em questão se classifica quanto à abordagem quali-quantitativa, com objetivos exploratório/explicativos de procedimentos mistos de levantamento bibliográfico e análise documental.
