Resumo: The grafting on watermelon can be used as a management practice to improve the ability of the crops to absorb nitrogen and minimize the potential loss of this nutrient. This study aimed to evaluate the agronomic performance eacúmulo nutrient in watermelon grafted on to nitrogen fertilization. Two experiments were conducted in the years 2014 and 2015 in the Bebedouro Experimental Station, Embrapa Semi-Arid in Petrolina - PE. The experiments were conducted in a randomized block in split plot with four replications. The plots consisted of five doses of nitrogen (0, 40, 80, 120 and 160 kg ha-1), and the subplots, the four combinations of grafting, 1) Cultivar BRS Opara without grafting; 2) BRS Opara grafted onto Line A (Citrullus lanatus var.citroides); 3) 'BRS Opara' grafted in Hybrid A (C. lanatus var.citroides crossing); and 4) 'BRS Opara' grafted in Hybrid B (C. crossing lanatus var.citroides x C. lanatus var. lanatus). The experimental unit consisted of a row with ten plants spaced 3.0 m x 0.8 m and and as a useful area was considered the six central plants for productivity evaluation and fruit quality. In the first larval experiment the following characteristics were assessed: total, commercial production, the total number of commercial and fruits per plant, commercial fruit weight, the efficiency of nitrogen, soluble solids, titratable acidity, soluble solids / titratable acidity, thickness peel and pulp firmness. plants were collected in the period of flowering and harvest to quantify the dry matter and accumulation of macro and micronutrients. further analysis was conducted of production cost and profitability of the plant grafted and ungrafted. In cv watermelon cultivation BRS Opara 'under fertigation, mulching and agrotextil mango grafting provided a more efficient absorption of nutrients in relation to non-grafted, reversing this productivity and improve the quality of fruit, grafting on Line A promoted increased productivity (60.8 t ha-1) at a dose 69.8 kg ha-1 N and commercial production (51.5 t ha-1) at a dose 69.3 kg ha-1 N is unrated reduction 48.4% in nitrogen fertilization and increase in net revenue of 39.8%

O presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o desempenho agronômico eacúmulo de nutrientes em melancia enxertada em função da adubação nitrogenada. Foram realizados dois experimentos nos anos de 2014 e 2015 no Campo Experimental de Bebedouro, pertencente à Embrapa Semiárido em Petrolina – PE. Os experimentos foram realizados no delineamento experimental em blocos casualizados em parcelas subdivididas com quatro repetições. As parcelas foram constituídas por cinco doses de nitrogênio (0, 40, 80, 120 e 160 kg ha-1), e as subparcelas, pelas quatro combinações de enxertia, sendo 1) Cultivar BRS Opara sem enxertia; 2) BRS Opara enxertada em Linhagem A (Citrullus lanatus var.citroides); 3) ‘BRS Opara’ enxertada em Híbrido A (cruzamento de C. lanatus var.citroides); e 4) ‘BRS Opara’ enxertada em Híbrido B (cruzamento de C. lanatus var.citroides x C. lanatus var. lanatus). A unidade experimental foi composta por uma fileira com dez plantas espaçadas de 3,0 m x e 0,8 m e, como área útil foi considerada as seis plantas centrais para avaliação de produtividade e qualidade de frutos. No primerio experimento as seguintes características foram avaliadas: produtividade total, produção comercial, número de frutos total e comerciais por planta, massa de fruto comercial, eficiência na utilização do nitrogênio, sólidos solúveis, acidez titulável, relação sólidos solúveis/acidez titulável, espessura da casca e firmeza da polpa. Foram coletadas plantas, no período de floração e colheita para quantificação da massa seca e acúmulo de macro e micronutrientes. Foi realizada ainda a análise do custo de produção e rentabilidade das plantas enxertadas e não enxertadas. No cultivo de melancia cv ‘BRS Opara’, sob fertirrigação, mulching e manga agrotextil, a enxertia proporcionou uma maior eficiência na absorção de nutrientes em relação a não enxertada, revertendo isto em produtividade e melhoria na qualidade dos frutos;a enxertia na Linhagem A promoveu uma maior produtividade (60,8 t ha-1) na dose 69,8 kg ha-1 N e produção comercial (51,5 t ha-1) na dose 69,3 kg ha-1 de N sendo notada redução de 48,4% na adubação nitrogenada e aumento na receita líquida de 39,8%Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior2016-11-10application/pdfhttp://repositorio.ufersa.edu.br/retrieve/1325/JoyceRS_TESE.pdf.jpgporUniversidade Federal Rural do Semi-ÁridoPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Manejo de Solo e ÁguaUFERSABrasilCC-BY-SAinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCitrullus lanatusEnxertiaProdutividadeQualidade de frutoMassa secaCitrullus lanatusGraftingProductivityQuality of fruitDry pastaCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::AGRONOMIADesempenho agronômico e acúmulo de nutrientes em melancia submetida à enxertia e adubação nitrogenadaAgronomic performance and accumulation of nutrients in watermelon subjected to grafting and nitrogen fertilizationinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da UFERSAinstname:Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido (UFERSA)instacron:UFERSAORIGINALJoyceRS_TESE.pdfJoyceRS_TESE.pdfapplication/pdf1429135https://repositorio.ufersa.edu.br//bitstream/tede/631/1/JoyceRS_TESE.pdfcebda07a7f0bd4afde3da054c5cf1f5eMD51LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
