Resumo: With the increase in people with non-transmittable chronic diseases, the lack of prepare of healthcare professionals to attend to victims of cardiopulmonary arrest has caught the attention of health education institutions. This makes it essential to invest in training undergraduate students in the health field using technologies and simulation to prepare them for care as future professionals. Technologies and their applicability have a direct influence on the formulation of new didactic strategies for teaching and learning in the health area. Smart wearable systems have become important allies of professionals in health promotion and care, in addition to being an effective educational resource in practical simulation activities in the academic environment. In this perspective, the bracelet shaped portable device was created to assist in the teaching of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuver (CPR), by means of tactile and visual languages, to maintain the rhythm and frequency during the attendance in first aid. Considering the need to identify its potentials and limitations, the present study focuses on validating the portable didactic aid device for CPR aimed at the teaching-learning process of healthcare professionals. This is a methodological research with a quantitative approach carried out in two public educational institutions in the town of Mossoró/RN. The validation took place in the period from July to September of 2020 with a group of 12 expert judges selected following these criteria: having a registered curriculum in the Lattes Platform, being a professor of higher education in the field of undergraduate courses in medicine or nursing, minimum degree of specialist and three years of teaching experience. The judges tested the device and answered an evaluative questionnaire in the Likert scale format. The treatment of quantitative data was based on simple descriptive statistics, using the Content Validation Index (CVI) and the Content Validity Coefficient (CVC). As a result, it is pointed out that the instrument for the validation of the portable didactic aid device in cardiopulmonary resuscitation obtained the Content Validity Coefficient (CVC) of 0.92, considered satisfactory and the Content Validity Index (CVI) of 0.95, indicating and excellent agreement between the expert judges. Thus, the results indicate that the prototype of the device developed be the researchers constitutes a didactic aid tool capable of favoring the maintenance of the rhythm in the CPR maneuver among healthcare students in the scenario of cardiac arrest. Furthermore, the need for greater incentives in the development of research and new technologies is recognized, in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the health area

Furthermore, the need for greater incentives in the development of research and new technologies is recognized, in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the health areaCom o aumento de pessoas com doenças crônicas não transmissíveis, a falta de preparo dos profissionais de saúde para o atendimento às vítimas de parada cardiorrespiratória, tem chamado atenção das instituições de ensino em saúde.
