Iron ore milling and the comminution process: a bibliometric analysis

Resumo: The context of the growing global scarcity of high iron content ores is a stimulus for the fragmentation equipment for less concentrated fines to be increasingly used and their studies revisited. This study had as its premise the investigation of scientific production regarding the process of comminution of iron ore through grinding. Methodologically, a bibliometric analysis was carried out through the selection of articles in the collection available free of charge to compose the portfolio, in order to map the pertinent literature, describe which means the most relevant studies on the subject are inserted, and so by individual listings proceed their qualitative analysis. The results address the importance of testing solutions and improving studies in this area, as it has great potential and the need for technical and operational improvements that enable an improvement in the specific cost of the product. Therefore, several authors highlight solutions for a more efficient processing of the fragmentation of this ore in the midst of the current economic challenge.

Assim, o presente estudo teve como premissa a investigação da produção cientifica referente ao processo de cominuição do minério de ferro através da moagem. Metodologicamente, foi realizado uma análise bibliométrica através da seleção dos artigos no acervo disponível gratuitamente para compor o portfólio, com objetivo de mapear a literatura pertinente, descrever qual o meio que está inserido os estudos mais relevantes sobre o assunto, e assim por fichamentos individuais proceder a análise qualitativa dos mesmos. Os resultados versam sobre a importância de testar soluções e aperfeiçoar os estudos nessa área, uma vez que tem grande potencial e necessidade de melhorias técnicas e operacionais que possibilitem uma melhora no custo específico do produto. Sendo assim, diversos autores destacam soluções para um processamento mais eficaz da fragmentação desse minério em meio ao desafio econômico atual.El contexto de la creciente escasez mundial de minerales de hierro de alta ley es un estímulo para que los equipos de fragmentación fina menos concentrados se utilicen cada vez más y se revisen sus estudios. Así, el presente estudio tuvo como premisa la investigación de la producción científica en cuanto al proceso de conminución del mineral de hierro a través de la molienda. Metodológicamente, se realizó un análisis bibliométrico a través de la selección de artículos de la colección disponibles de forma gratuita para componer el portafolio, con el objetivo de mapear la literatura relevante, describiendo el medio por el cual se insertan los estudios más relevantes sobre el tema, y ​​así por los registros individuales proceden a su análisis cualitativo. Los resultados versan sobre la importancia de probar soluciones y mejorar los estudios en esta área, ya que tiene un gran potencial y la necesidad de mejoras técnicas y operativas que permitan una mejora en el costo específico del producto.
