Resumo: | Transport decision makers face serious challenges in trying to make urban freight transport efficient and sustainable. Therefore, it is necessary to identify best practices that seek to promote sustainability in freight transportation. Thus, this paper seeks to identify these best practices, as well as their main advantages and disadvantages, through literature review. As a result of this research, there is the consolidation of a set of 18 best practices related to urban freight transport, which can be taken by private companies, both for shippers and transport operators, who seek to increase the sustainability of their operations. However, it is emphasized that it is necessary to use decision-making mechanisms to identify best practices for implementation according to the potentialities and difficulties of each company. |

Assim, faz-se necessário que sejam identificadas boas práticas que busquem promover a sustentabilidade no transporte de carga. Nesse sentido, este artigo busca identificar essas boas práticas, bem como suas principais vantagens e desvantagens, por meio de revisão bibliográfica. Como resultados desta pesquisa, tem-se a consolidação de um conjunto de 18 boas práticas relacionadas ao transporte urbano de carga, que podem ser adotadas por empresas privadas, tanto para embarcadores quanto operadores de transporte, que buscam aumentar a sustentabilidade de suas operações.
