Resumo: The theme that inspired the writing of this article was the set of street manifestations that took place in Brazil in July 2013. The manifestations were initially articulated by the problems of urban mobility, but later will acquire immense complexity. The plurality of voices and crossings and the impossibility of a single language to give existence to the complexity of the manifestations is what constitutes the raw material of this text, which causes thinking about generaliza-tions and constraints that are imposed by existing languages to talk space. The text was produced collectively or brokered by members of the Grupo de Pesquisa Modernidade e Cultura of the Instituto de Pesquisa e Planejamento Urbano e Regional, of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and was presented as a performance in the panel discussion “In the borders of the major Geography: imagination, strangeness and performance, in the III Colóquio Internacional “A Educação pelas imagens e suas geografias”. Las manifestaciones fueran articuladas inicialmente por los problemas de movilidad urbana, pero posteriormente adquirirán inmensa complejidad. La pluralidad de voces y cruces y la imposibilidad de un lenguaje único para dar existencia a la complejidad de las manifestaciones es lo que constituye la materia prima de este texto, que provoca pensar en las generalizaciones y limitaciones que son impuestas por las lenguajes existentes para hablar del espacio. El texto fue producido colectivamente o agenciado por miembros del Grupo de Pesquisa Modernidade e Cultura del Instituto de Pesquisa e Planejamento Urbano e Regional, de la Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro y fue presentado como una performance, en la mesa redonda “En las orillas de la Geografía mayor: imaginación, extrañamiento y performance “, en el III Colóquio Internacional “A Educação pelas imagens e suas geografias”. Palabras clave: lenguajes; performance; manifestaciones callejeras.A temática que inspirou esse escrito foi o conjunto de manifestações de rua ocorridas no Brasil em julho de 2013. As manifestações foram inicialmente articuladas por questões de mobilidade urbana, mas depois ganharam imensa complexidade. A pluralidade de vozes e atravessamentos, e a impossibilidade de uma linguagem única a dar existência à complexidade das manifestações é o que constitui a matéria-prima para este texto que provoca a pensar nas generalizações e limitações que as linguagens existentes nos impõem para falar do espacial. O texto foi produzido coletivamente ou agenciado por membros do Grupo de Pesquisa Modernidade e Cultura do Instituto de Pesquisa e Planejamento Urbano e Regional, da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro e foi apresentado, de modo performático, na mesa redonda “Nas margens da Geografia maior: imaginação, estranhamento e performance”, no III Colóquio Internacional “A Educação pelas imagens e suas geografias”. Palavras-chave: linguagens; performance; manifestações de rua.Le thème qui a inspiré cet écrit était l’ensemble des manifestations de rue qui ont eu lieu au Brésil en juillet 2013. Les manifestations s’articulaient initialement autour des questions de mobilité urbaine, mais ont ensuite acquis une immense complexité en raison de la pluralité des voix et des croisements, et de l’impossibilité d’une telle écriture. Un langage unique qui donne existence à la complexité des manifestations est ce qui constitue la matière première de ce texte, qui nous incite à réfléchir aux généralisations et aux limites que les langages existants nous imposent lorsqu'on parle d'espace. Le texte a été réalisé collectivement ou géré par les membres du Groupe de Recherche sur la Modernité et la Culture de l'Institut de Recherche et de Planification Urbaine et Régionale, de l'Université Fédérale de Rio de Janeiro et a été présenté, de manière performative, lors de la table ronde « Sur les marges de la Grande Géographie : imaginaire, éloignement et performance », au IIIe Colloque International « L'éducation par les images et leurs géographies ».
