Resumo: ABSTRACT: The article aims to discuss the symbolic investment process in the eroticization game woman/body/silk, in the poetry of João Cabral, taking a look at the poems "A palavra seda" and "Escritos com o corpo", published respectively in the Quaderna and Serial books. The study is documentary, of a descriptive nature and is based not only on the Merleau-Ponty theory, which understands the body as the locus of communication of the being with the world, but also on studies by literary critics who deal with the subject, such as Antonio Carlos Secchin, Benedito Nunes, Costa Lima, Marta de Senna, among others. The text concludes that the female body presents itself, for João Cabral, as a means of communication between the woman and everything that surrounds her, as he is perceived by the poet through the convergences and divergences before the beings of the world (silk, phrase, painting, nudity, memory). Eroticism.RESUMO: O artigo tem como finalidade discutir o processo de investimento simbólico no jogo de erotização mulher/corpo/seda, na poesia de João Cabral, lançando um olhar sobre os poemas “A palavra seda” e “Escritos com o corpo”, publicados respectivamente nos livros Quaderna e Serial. O estudo é documental, de cunho descritivo e apoia-se não só na teoria de Merleau-Ponty, que compreende o corpo como locus de comunicação do ser com o mundo, mas também em estudos de críticos literários que tratam do tema, como Antonio Carlos Secchin, Benedito Nunes, Costa Lima, João Alexandre Barbosa, José Guilherme Merquior, Marta de Senna, dentre outros. O texto conclui que o corpo feminino se apresenta, para João Cabral, como meio de comunicação entre a mulher e tudo que a envolve, pois ele é percebido pelo poeta por meio das convergências e divergências perante os seres do mundo (seda, frase, pintura, nudez, memória).
