Resumo: Embedded in the discussions presented above, this dossier, titled "City, Territory, and Materiality in the Ancient World," focuses on narratives and uses of spaces. Aiming to shed light on different aspects of materiality in the Ancient World and Late Antiquity, we present articles and reviews that discuss specifics about various ancient cities, from the perspective of historians and archaeologists. This includes issues of historiographical, cultural, political, religious, and social nature, without losing sight of the importance of spatiality in understanding the daily lives of individuals and groups in the modus vivendi of urban societies. In light of this, this dossier of Romanitas - Journal of Greco-Latin Studies turns to a current trend that combines concepts and methods from Urban History, Classical Archaeology, Geography, Architecture, and Sociology, with the goal of addressing these rich spaces, the cities, in a plural and interdisciplinary manner, which should in no way be thought of and treated as static and indelible.

Inserido nas discussões apresentadas acima, o presente dossiê, intitulado “Cidade, território e materialidade no Mundo Antigo”, volta-se para as narrativas e usos dos espaços. Com o propósito de iluminar diferentes aspectos da materialidade no Mundo Antigo e na Antiguidade Tardia, apresentamos artigos e resenhas que abordam particularidades sobre as mais diversas cidades antigas, sob a perspectiva de historiadores e arqueólogos. Isso inclui questões de cunho historiográfico, cultural, político, religioso e social, sem perder de vista a importância da espacialidade na compreensão do cotidiano de indivíduos e grupos inseridos no modus vivendi das sociedades urbanas.
